Why did I want to write this book?
To me, Hawaii is my most beautiful paradise. When I first met Bjorn, little did I know that he wanted us to write a book together, but when he asked me I became more and more enthused about the idea. I truly enjoy the working relationship I have with him.

He keeps me busy all the time and if I do not understand something, asks questions over and over. Many, many hours have been consumed in creating this work, and great expense has gone into its production.

Now, when the book is becoming a reality, our only hope is that the reader will truly treasure the final product. It is also our hope that you will feel the Hawaiian spirit in the pages, and that it will be a source of strength and inspiration.
